The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ikorodu Local Government, Mr Oshin Olanrewaju has assured residents of a better alternative from the major opposition party in Ikorodu and Lagos State at large.
Oshin, who is the chairman of a faction in the PDP said that Ikorodu deserves better than what it is getting from the system emphasising that the problem of Ikorodu’s relegation is because people don’t query whatever that is being given to them by the ruling party.
The chairman of the opposition party spoke with THE IMPACT in Igbogbo on Wednesday.

“My message to the people of Ikorodu is simple. The people of Ikorodu have always supported the PDP because they want good leadership and proper governance.
“Ikorodu deserves far more development than what it currently has. One of the major problems is the dominance of a one-party system, where people simply accept whatever is given to them without alternatives.”
Oshin said that his party will improve on the developments in Ikorodu if given the chance to govern.
“Democracy works best when there is competition and accountability. If the PDP is given an opportunity, I strongly believe there will be massive positive change in Ikorodu.

“I want to appeal to my brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, and the youths of Ikorodu to support the PDP once again for the sake of better leadership and development,” Oshin appealed.
The opposition party chairman who said that his party has been active in Ikorodu also revealed that nomination forms for different elective positions are now sold at the party secretariat and hinted that primary elections would be conducted soon.
